Theresa received this award at the LPSCW member recognition evening held on May 13, 2015, at Benvenuto's. This recognition was first awarded in 1972, and nominees for this award are required to be active members and have at least three years of experience in any legal field.
Theresa has worked in the legal profession for many years. She attended Southwestern Wisconsin Technical College’s legal assistant program in Fennimore, Wisconsin. In 1994 she moved into her field as a Legal Assistant and Office Manager at a small Middleton law firm that practiced business law. She has moved around a few times since then, with the addition of working outside of her field for three years as a loan processor at a bank just a few blocks from her home. She loved being able to walk to work but the pull of the legal office brought her back into her chosen field. She is currently working at a downtown law firm in the areas of commercial and civil litigation, intellectual property and information technology. Since joining Legal Personnel of South Central Wisconsin she has served as Treasurer, and an Editor for “Behind The Bar” and “The Mandatum.” She has also assisted WALP with testing out new web meeting software for the Spring/Winter Conference.
